Greedy?

I’m not sure what to make of this article about couples who ask for cash instead of gifts:

OK, the examples given, such as Nintendo Wii’s and DVD Box sets maybe be pushing it a little, but overall I don’t think it’s impolite or selfish to ask for something you might actually use rather than a toaster or breadmaker, etc?

I wonder how the top 20 list was compiled, I don’t recall being asked, and suspect it’s just a bit of journalistic licence?

    I think the bizarre comments are from someone who works in a hotel?

    Back to the issue though, we have asked for cash to pay for our honeymoon. It was simply a matter of asking or not having one – everyone so far has said it’s a good idea and I’ve been rather staggered by peoples generosity.

    TBH, anyone who asks for a Nintendo Wii needs seeing to?
